This Film Warrior earned his stripes upon the cinematic battlefield at an early age, beginning with a spiritual awakening upon viewing "Star Wars" for the very first time. Since then, he has modeled his life around the action heroes he was raised upon. Having fought through the darkness to find light in this world, he now serves his artistic muse as a screenwriter and filmmaker, follows the path of the Zen Kata swordsman, and enlightens his adventurist spirit with endless travels and self discoveries.
He moves only forward in this life, and is honor bound to live by the creed set before his own soul:
"Dare to dream. Fight to feel. Live to die."

Centauri is a true product of his generation. Spending countless hours in theaters or in front of television screens, he has garnered many of his life lessons from the likes of John Hughes, Steven Spielberg, Lawrence Kasdan and Jim Henson. With a father who instilled a love of sci-fi in him at an early age, he credits his first coherent sentence as either "Live Long And Prosper" or "Danger, Will Robinson!"
His love of cinema led him to his first job was as a theater usher, eventually working his way into projection and management. Centauri is very opinionated, yet strives to be more and more humble every day. As Robert Preston, the namesake for his Film Warrior handle, famously said in "The Last Starfighter"; "Always Trust Centauri." …Oh well, nobody's perfect.
LINA LAMONT
Mission Specialist/Contributing WriterReal Name: Lani Simoena

Raised on a strict diet of Hollywood classics, toe-tapping musicals, and Abbott and Costello movies, Ms. Lamont has devoted much of her life to the study of film history and the art of filmmaking. Her film taste varies from the golden age of cinema to the independent films of today. She considers movies to be her books, opting to be entranced by a visually compelling story rather than words on a page.
Unfortunately, this led to a number of poorly written summer reading assignments in her youth. As a core member of one of most prestigious film festivals in the country, Lina now finds herself submersed in the documentary film world and loving every minute of it.
Although she never got to dance with Gene Kelly, marry Cary Grant, or run a studio (Sherry Lansing - You Rock!), Ms. Lamont continues on her quest of running her own production company and teaching film history to very eager students.

Uncle Billy began his love affair with motion pictures at a very tender age, and has been studying every aspect of the film industry for nearly forty years. He has been schooled in film history, criticism, screenwriting, production, direction, and distribution by some of the finest instructors in their respective fields, and has participated in the creation of multiple award winning films.
He feels as at home discussing the early silent cinema, the classics, and foreign films as he does modern movies of most any genre. He chose his nom de plume from his all time favorite movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life.” The character of forgetful, but loveable, Uncle Billy was played by character actor Thomas Mitchell, who was part of director Frank Capra’s filmmaking family.
Family, both personal and professional, is extremely important to our Uncle Billy, and he hopes that you will soon join ours here at The Film Warriors.
